Émilie Réalis-Doyelle work focuses on the ecology of stress and the impact of multiple environmental stressors on fish, particularly chemical contaminants (microplastics, PCBs, etc.) and physical stressors (noise, temperature).
Her research combines behavioral, physiological, and omics (transcriptomic) approaches. It is based in particular on the Pace-of-Life Syndromes (POLS) concept, which explores the links between behavior, metabolism, physiology, and life history strategies to better understand individual responses to environmental disturbances.
