Geneva 13 December 2024 – Over 170 participants from around the world attended the Tire Emissions Research Conference in Munich on December 4-6. The event, hosted by the Tire Industry Project (TIP) in partnership with the Technical University of Munich, was the first of its kind, exclusively focused on the critical challenges and opportunities in reducing tire and road wear emissions.
“We were delighted to welcome such an array of senior experts from international academia, regulatory agencies, research centers, and private sector organizations, who shared their experience and efforts around the assessment and mitigation of tire wear emissions. We are grateful to the Scientific Committee Members for their leadership in shaping the program, to the speakers for the opportunity to acknowledge their research, and all of those who attended,” says Larisa Kryachkova, Executive Director at the Tire Industry Project.
The next Tire Emissions Research Conference is scheduled to take place in early September, 2025, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, Massachusetts. More information will be shared on TIP’s social channels as the organization of the event and the definition of the program advance.
